“Biblioteca degli Alberi” (“The Library of Trees”) is a 95,000 square meter botanical garden that gives oxygen to the former Varesine area and offers, just a few steps from the most exclusive recently built skyscrapers in Milan, areas equipped for sports, thematic circular forests, vegetable gardens, educational paths, pedestrian areas and 5 km of cycle paths.
The park, accessible 24 hours a day, is the third green lung by size of Milan (containing around 90.000 plants). It represents a new concept of urban green area and boasts a state-of-the-art lighting system installed by MILANI S.p.A.
The work, commissioned by IN.G.RE S.c.r.l., was carried out in a temporary grouping of companies with the Consorzio Stabile A.LP.I. s.c.a.r.l .: Each company has dealt with individual and different processes. The works, which began in September 2016, ended in October 2018. MILANI S.p.A. followed the installation of the lighting, electrical and water systems.
